The New York City chapter of the Women’s National Book Association is a professional organization that supports the community of the book. Our members—men and women who work with and value words—represent all aspects of the book industry. We are authors and writers, editors and publishers, librarians and booksellers, agents and publicists, designers and illustrators, and book production and management professionals.

Believing that books have power, the WNBA-NYC was formed to make it possible for people engaged in various book activities to broaden their role in the community of the book, to serve the book world, and to know one another as individuals with common problems, aspirations, and goals.
